The post coincided with a letter to Trump on Monday, accusing the president of “playing with fire”.
The governor said he was ready to do everything it takes to combat the gains that Republicans could achieve thanks to the efforts in Texas.
“You play with fire, risking the destabilization of our democracy, knowing that California can neutralize all the earnings you hope to make,” Newsom told Trump in the letter.
