The candidate of the Democratic mayor of New York, Zohran Mamdani, maintains a heavy lead in the race, according to a recent Siena survey of registered voters.
Mamdani questions 44%, and former governor Andrew Cuomo, who presents himself as an independence, is 25%. The Republican Curtis Sliwa is 12% and the outgoing mayor Eric Adams is 7%.
“While the city’s democrats promote Mamdani on Cuomo 53-32%, with figures to a single figure for the other two, more than two-thirds of the City Republicans support Sliwa. Independent voters in the city are more closely divided, with 30% of Mamdani and 20% supporting Adams,” said Siena Pollster Steven Greenberg in a press release.
Cuomo’s opponents slam his return to the race of the mayors of New York, let’s say that City wants to go from the ex-Governor
“Voters under the age of 35 massively support Mamdani, as well as a plurality of voters 35-54, however, voters aged 55 and older Cuomo on Mamdani, 38-32%,” he added.
“Mamdani, included in the Siena survey for the first time, has a 46-32% favorability rating with New York voters and a negative favorability rating of 28 to 37% among voters in the state,” continued Greenberg.
However, the sounder said that Cuomo, who had resigned from his post as governor, then lost the democratic primary against Mamdani, faces serious problems of favorability.
“Cuomo has an underwater favorability rating with city voters, 37-54% and a favorability rating of 29 to 61% even worse with state-of-scale voters, the worst Cuomo favorability rating in a Siena survey. In fact, between Democrats on a state scale, the March of Cuomo,” he said.

Adams, who chose to continue the race as an independence, also faces favorite problems, according to the survey. The mayor was charged by the Ministry of Justice last year for corruption, conspiracy and financing of the campaign, but the case was then abandoned. Adams presented itself as an alternative to the application of the law in Mamdani, especially after the shooting of the office of 345 Park avenue last month.
“Adams is also underwater with voters from the city, from 30 to 58%, from 22 to 51%throughout the state and among the Democrats throughout the state of 22 to 59%,” said Greenberg. “Sliwa has a favorability rating of 26 to 30% across the state and 30 to 42% in the city.”
The recent survey comes as the eyes of the nation remain on the race, because Mamdani’s victory was considered an upheaval against Cuomo, and the Democratic candidate pushed several far -left policies. Currently, Mamdani does an anti-Trump tour through the city.
“There is no district that will be free from Trump’s cruelty,” said Mamdani on Monday. “We will feel the pain of this legislation, that we are in Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, the Queens or Staten Island, and we will light a light this week and every week on the costs of this vision that comes out of Washington, DC”

Although some Democrats have retired to publicly support Mamdani, others, such as Senator Elizabeth Warren, D-MASS., And representative Jerry Nadler, D-NY., Campaigned for him.
Cuomo, Adams and Sliwa have targeted Mamdani on a variety of questions, including police and rent control. Cuomo even launches “Zohran’s law” after it was released that Mamdani lives in an apartment stabilized in rent.

“Apartments stabilized to rent when they are vacant should only be rented to people who need affordable accommodation, not people like Zohran Mamdani,” Cuomo told journalists in a video Published on social networks Sunday.
“We must remember thatrew Cuomo spent more time talking about my apartment than asking why so many New Yorkers are forced to leave theirs. He spent more time criticizing me than to criticize the legislation that Donald Trump adopted,” Mamdani said on Tuesday.
The election is November 4, which makes it one of the few major elections out of year.
