Despite the defeat of the brushing, the leader of the Senate of the Democratic Party, Chuck Schumer, would have put pressure on Brown to run for months.
If he is selected as a candidate of the Democratic Party, the probable opponent of the GOP of Brown would be senator Jon Husted, R-Ohio, who was appointed to fill the seat of vice-president JD Vance after his departure for the White House. A special election in 2026 will decide which will serve the rest of the mandate of Vance, which lasts until 2029.
“Should Brown participate in the race as a Schumer’s component candidate, he will start in the greatest hole in his political career,” said Tyson Shepard, spokesperson for Husted’s campaign.
“He has never faced a candidate like Jon Husted. Brown slogans went Hollow while his coalition moved away, tired of radical policies which he forced to support his coastal patterns in California and New York.”
