The White House criticized a judge’s decision not to sow Grand jury materials Linked to the sexual trafficking case against Jeffrey Epstein, partner Ghislaine Maxwell, calling for the “unhappy” decision.

The press secretary of the White House, Karoline Leavitt, remarked after that the judge of the American district Paul Engelmayer shot down the request filed by the Ministry of Justice, concluding that the documents do not contain “significant information and not disclosed on (their) crimes, nor the investigation”.

“We think that this decision is unfortunate. Of course, we have moved to a this information because the president said he wanted to see credible evidence published. As for the call process, I would refer you to the Ministry of Justice for that,” Leavitt told journalists on Tuesday.

Last month, President Donald Trump said that he had supported the prosecutor General Pam Bondi publishing “credible” files in the Epstein sex traffic case, noting that “she managed her very well, and that will take it from her, whatever she thinks of being credible that she should release”.

Engelmayer wrote in his 31 -page opinion that only two “characteristics” of the evidence of the great jury were remarkable, summarizing them in his decision:

“First, the big juries in this case were not used for investigation ends,” he wrote. “They did not hear testimonies of any first -hand witness to any event in question. They have heard testimonies of any victim, eyewitness, suspect or even a guardian of files. The great juries met with the daily purpose of returning an indictment.”

The only witnesses were members of the police, and each great jury only heard evidence for a day, he wrote.

“Second, the evidence presented before the major juries of Maxwell are today, with very minor exceptions, a question of public file,” continued Engelmayer. “The government has admitted as much.”

In addition to the transcriptions of testimonies of the Grand Jury, the Ministry of Justice also wanted to under the additional evidence presented as exhibitions to the great jurors. They expected what they include more names than what had been publicly associated with them in criminal and civil procedures.

But Engelmayer also denied the government’s request for exhibitions.
