The FBI approves Cornyn’s request to locate the Democrats of Texas who fled the State

Senator John Cornyn, R-Texas, announced Thursday that the FBI had granted his request for federal agents to help locate the Democratic legislators of Texas who fled the State to block a voting to rediscover the GOP.

Cornyn said the FBI had agreed to help Texas’ police to locate members of the Texas House of Representatives “who fled the State in a shameful attempt to thwart the legislative process”.

“I am proud to announce that director Kash Pate has approved my request for the FBI to help local and local police to locate the Democrats Runaway Texas House,” Cornyn said in a statement. “I thank President Trump and the Patel Director for having quickly supported and acted my appeal to the federal government to hold these so -called legislators responsible for the Le Flie du Texas. We cannot allow these thug legislators to avoid their constitutional responsibilities.”

The FBI refused to comment when reached by Fox News Digital.

In Texas, more than 50 Democratic legislators fled the state earlier this month to prevent a quorum necessary for the Texas Chamber, which requires at least 100 members of the organization of 150 members.

“The actors outside the State have made public comments on the protection of the legislators of Texas who are currently hiding outside the state of all responsibility for their actions,” wrote Cornyn. “I ask for help from the FBI, because federal resources are necessary to locate the legislators of Texas outside the State who act potentially in violation of the law. The FBI has tools to help the police in the states when the parties cross the state lines, including to avoid testifying or fleeing a scene of a crime.”

The letter has cited the concerns that legislators “who have requested or accepted funds to help their efforts to avoid their legislative functions can be guilty of corruption or other public corruption offenses”.

“Governor Abbott and agents of the law enforcement of the state of Texas do what they can within the limits of the law, but federal aid may be necessary,” wrote Cornyn. “These legislators have committed potential criminal acts in their precipitation to avoid their constitutional responsibilities and must be fully surveyed and responsible outfits. I urge you to work with Texas officials to provide them with the support they need.”

The Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, summoned a special session to try to advance a redistribution plan of the Congress which could add five new seats at home before the mid-term elections next year.

Abbott also filed an emergency request on Tuesday to the Supreme Court of the State asking him to withdraw the representative of the Gene Wu state from his functions, categorizing him as the “leader of abandoned Democrats who fled the state to break the quorum”.

Meanwhile, the Republicans of the State of Texas voted to issue civilian mandates and $ 500 from daily fines for democratic colleagues who have abandoned their functions.
