Warren says that the socialist Mamdani represents the future of the Democratic Party

Senator Elizabeth Warren, D-MASS., Champion of the progressive left, praise the Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani on affordability while he presents himself to the mayor in the most populous city in the country as a model for the Democratic Party.

Questioned by Fox News as she joined a campaign event during a headquarters on Monday with the candidate of the mayor of the Democratic Party in New York if Mamdani was what the future of the party should look like, Warren replied “you are betting”.

“The Democratic Party must get up and be clear. We are the party that fights for affordability, for workers’ families, this means childcare services. This means housing. This means health care.

And pointing to Mamdani, Warren said: “Democrats are those who do not speak every day, but who walk to make our country more affordable for workers, and I’m here with the guy who is working at the moment.”

He is now the clear pioneer in the general elections in November when he aims to make history as the first Muslim mayor and first millennium in New York.

The Republicans targeted Mamdani and tried to transform him into the new face of the Democratic Party, highlighting multiple positions of radical policy that he pushed, in particular the funding of the police, anti-Israeli rhetoric and “Kick (ING) the fascist ice cream of New York”. They aim to anchor it to vulnerable democrats across the country that arise in the elections this year and next year.

Even if he was defeated for the appointment of the Democratic Party, Cuomo presents himself in the general elections as an independent candidate. Cuomo, who resigned as governor in 2021 during his third term in the midst of several scandals, aims for a political return.

Also on the general election ballot are Mayor Eric Adams, The besieged holder who announced earlier this year that he would ask for a re-election as an independent candidate rather than requesting the appointment of the Democratic Party in the midst of the survey numbers, and the co-founder of the Guardian Angels Curtis Sliwa, who, for a second consecutive election, is the candidate of the Republican Mayor.

Warren targeted Cuomo, arguing that “the whole path of the former governor here seems to be to go to a handful of billionaires, to make you give a lot of money and hope that you can flood the city with a bunch of negative announcements.”

Cuomo, during a campaign event on Monday, continued to target Mamdani when he revealed his own public security proposal for the city.

The former governor called Mamdani “anti-political”, arguing that he “does not understand the need for public security”.

Mamdani, following the mass shooting last week in an office building in Midtown Manhattan, faced a meticulous examination of previous statements made on social networks in 2020 when he called to finance the police on several occasions.

Warren’s event with Mamdani was part of a multi -volume thrust to support him in his push for the mayor of New York.

The senator, who ran without success for the presidential appointment of the Democratic Party in 2020, also published a video on social networks praising Mamdani and wrote an opinion article that appeared in Rolling Stone.
