The Russian volcano breaks out after a massive earthquake, first time in centuries

Less than a week after a massive earthquake of 8.8 coarse sparked tsunami warnings in the Pacific Ocean, a volcano in Extreme Russia, on Sunday, believed the kilometers of hot ashes in the sky, marking the first time in hundreds of years, the geological characteristic had broken out.

The Krasheninkov volcano, located on the Kamchatka peninsula, the Extreme Oriental in Russia, sent 6 kilometers of ash, or 3.7 miles, in the sky, said the staff of the Kronotsky reserve.

Images of the volcanic eruption, which occurred on the Kronotsky reserve, were released by the Russian state media and have shown dense clouds of ash rising above the volcano.

“Panache spreads east of the volcano to the Pacific Ocean,” wrote the Kamchatka Ministry of Emergency on Telegram during the eruption. “There are no populated areas along its way, and no fall of ashes has been recorded in inhabited localities.”

A 7.0 magnification earthquake accompanied the eruption, causing a tsunami warning for three kamchatka areas.

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Services later raised Tsunami’s warning.

“This is the first historically confirmed eruption of the Krasheninkov volcano in 600 years,” said Olga Girina, head of the Kamchatka volcanic eruption team, Ria Novosti.

But according to the global volcanism program of the Smithsonian Institution based in the United States, Krasheninkov broke out for the last time in 1550, or 475 years.

The reason behind the gap was not immediately clear.

However, the Kamchatka volcanic eruption team said on Sunday that a moderate explosive activity could continue, despite the activity to decrease the volcano.

The eruption of Krasheninnikov occurred after an earthquake of 8.8 coarse struck Russia from the Extreme Eastern on Wednesday.

The eruption caused small waves of tsunami in Japan and Alaska and caused tsunami warnings in places like Hawaii, North and Central America and the Pacific Islands to the South to New Zealand.
