Senator Rick Scott requests the representative Byron Donalds for the Governor of Florida

Senator Rick Scott, R-Fla., Approved his republican colleague rep. Byron Donalds Florida Gubernatorial Offer.

Scott was governor of the state of Sunshine before the current governor Ron Desantis.

“I am proud to stay with President Trump and approve Byron Donalds for the governor of Florida. Byron is a conservative in principle who will head with courage and conviction and fight on behalf of each Floridian”, Scott note.

“I was proud to work with him on critical legislation to make insurance against the floods more affordable and help the Floridians to rebuild themselves and to recover from catastrophic hurricanes. And during my time as governor, he was a critical partner to obtain billions of dollars in tax relief for Florida families.

“As governor, Byron will strengthen our economy, fight for the elderly and veterans, will protect our communities and make Florida more affordable for each family.”

Donalds thanked the senator.

“Thank you @Scottforflorida for your support! You have been an incredible leader for our state and it’s an honor to fight by your side on Capitol Hill”, Donalds poster On X. “As governor, I can’t wait to work with you and President Trump to strengthen Florida and make America again large.”

Donalds announced his candidacy earlier this year after President Donald Trump approved it for the governor.

“Byron Donalds would be a really large and powerful governor for Florida and, if he decides to run, will have my complete and total approval. Run, Byron, run!” Trump said in a social truth in February job.

DESANTIS, who purges his second mandate in the position, is not eligible for the race in 2026 due to the limits of mandate of the State.

“No person who has, or for resignation, set as an acting governor or governor for more than six years in two consecutive terms, the governor is elected for the following mandate,” said the Florida Constitution.

Scott and Trump also approved Senator Ashley Moody, R-Fla., In his next attempt to stay in the Senate.

Desantis explained Moody to replace Marco Rubio, who left the Senate long before the end of his mandate to serve as a secretary of state of Trump.

Moody aims to win a special election next year to serve the rest of what would have been the mandate of the Rubio Senate.
