New York Mamdani considers the former Bowman Ex-Rep for the school chief

new York The socialist candidate of the town hall, Zohran Mamdani, would consider the former Democrat representative Jamaal Bowman as his choice to direct the schools of the city despite the controversial history of Bowman on various problems.
Bowman could become the Chancellor of New York Schools if Mamdani was to become mayor in November, in a position where he will supervise more than 1,000 schools with nearly a million students, the New York Post reported last month.
Bowman, a progressive democrat and former member of “The Squad” at Congress, once called Standardized test in public schools a “form of modern slavery” when he was director of the Bronx public school in 2015.
“Slavery, Jim Crow, Redling, crack and now standardized tests were all … designed to destroy the minds, body and soul of black and brown people,” said Bowman.

According to a New York Post report Friday, Bowman operated a radical public school without license for about two years.

Bowman defended the pro-Palestine song “from the river to the sea”, which many in the Jewish community consider as a call to eradicate Israel.
He was a faithful critic of Israel, especially since the start of his current war with Hamas in Gaza. Last year, he Assisted in a fundraising Co-organized by an Islamic chief who said he was “happy to see” the Hamas October 7 attack on Israeli civilians.
Bowman was also forced to apologize for having denied that Hamas had violated women and committed other atrocities during the massacre of the terrorist group in Israel.

Bowman sparked the indignation of Jewish groups in 2024 for defending a Murale by Louis Farrakhan, who sadly made derogatory comments on the Jews, in particular by calling them “the synagogue of Satan” and “Termites”.
He was also criticized the same year when a discovery video showed him in honor of a radical black activist and a murderer sentenced during a special project in an intermediary school in New York while being director before being elected at the Congress.

Mamdani faced criticism for many anti-Israeli posts on his own dating from his university days when he called for academic sanctions against Israel. He has often expressed himself in favor of BDS, sanctions against Israel which influence Watch described as “an international campaign to delegitimize the State of Israel as the expression of the right of the Jewish people to national self -determination by isolated the country economically through consumption boycotts, commercial and governmental withdrawal of investment and legal sanctions.”
Mamdani also faced criticism for refusing to condemn the expression “globalizing the intifada”, and Fox News Digital reported this week that Mamdani had declared in 2023 that Israel was “not a place” and “not a country”.
Mamdani’s campaign did not respond to a request for comments from Fox News Digital.
“I don’t think of any of this,” Bowman said in the New York Post in early July about the possible appointment. “I want to help my brother be elected. I am exceptional in compartmentalization. Right now, I want to help Zohran to win the general elections.”
