The chairman of the Chamber’s supervisory committee, James Comer, R-ky., Trade the expected deposition of Ghislaine Maxwell until the Supreme Court weighs his request for reversal of his conviction, according to a letter obtained by Fox News Digital.

The committees of the committees had to go to a Tallahassee prison for a base of August 11 with Maxwell after the legislators voted for having assigned him to make his ties close with the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

In a letter sent to Comer earlier this week, Maxwell’s lawyer said that it “had not received a fair trial” and asked to delay the date of deposit until the resolution of its case before the resolution of the Supreme Court.

“On July 30, the United States Supreme Court noticed that your In short request from Certiorari will be examined at its conference on September 29. In the light of this notice, the committee is ready to delay your deposit until a date after the determination of the court of the court,” Comer wrote on Friday.

According to the letter from the Kentucky Republican, Maxwell’s lawyer warned that she would invoke the fifth amendment to avoid answering any questions unless certain conditions are met.

“These conditions include: (1) an immunity concession, (2) The deposit occurring outside the FCI Tallahassee, (3) Access to the Committee’s questions in advance, and (4) the conclusion of your recent call to the Supreme Court of the United States and the future potential petition of Habeas,” wrote Comer.

He denied his immunity requests to the Congress and to obtain questions in advance, but wrote that the Committee would continue to “engage in good faith negotiations”.

Commer has also sworn that the Committee would honor its “long -standing practice to engage in frank and detailed discussion on the scope”.

The assignment was issued to Maxwell after a unanimous vote by the Republicans and the Democrats of the Committee in late July.

The request for assignment to appear Maxwell was offered by the representative Tim Buchett, R-Tenn.

“Your testimony is vital for the committee’s efforts concerning Mr. Jeffrey Epstein, including the 2007 non-pretention agreement and the circumstances surrounding the death of Mr. Epstein,” wrote Comer. “These survey efforts can be used to shed light on potential legislation in order to improve federal efforts aimed at combating sexual trafficking and reforming the use of non-transformation agreements and / or advocacy agreements in sexual crime surveys.”

The letter comes a few hours after Fox News learned that Maxwell had been transferred from Florida to a federal prison camp in Bryan, Texas.

GOP legislators compete on the strategy to avoid the government closure

Congress investigators are looking to speak with Maxwell for his long -standing ties with Epstein, who was waiting for a sex trafficking trial when he died by suicide in a prison in New York in 2019.

Maxwell herself was sentenced to 20 years in prison in June 2022 “for her role in a sexual exploitation plan and abuse several minor girls with Jeffrey Epstein for a decade,” said a press release from the South New York District.

In the request for delay, Maxwell’s lawyer argued that “any testimony that she provides could now compromise her constitutional rights, prejudge her legal allegations and potentially hinder a future jury”.

Maxwell had already met federal investigators last week when the Vice-Procureur General Todd Blanche sat with her in Tallahassee in the direction of the American prosecutor Pam Bondi.

Bondi said in a statement announcing the meeting: “President Trump told us to disclose all credible evidence. If Ghislaine Maxwell has information about anyone who has committed crimes against the victims, the FBI and the Doj will hear what she has to say.”

Maxwell’s lawyers told Fox News in response to Comer’s letter: “We thank President Comer’s letter and appreciate the committee’s desire to delay Ms. Maxwell’s deposition while her case is pending before the Supreme Court. We will continue to engage with the congress in good faith to find a way for Mrs. Maxwell to share her information without compromising her constitutional right.
