First on Fox: The Kansas Attorney General asks the Ministry of Justice (DOJ) to investigate the sources of funding behind an “environmental law campaign” which, according to him, has taken shape in recent years.

Kansas Attorney General Kobach said on Monday that the DOJ is expected to investigate how the Chinese government would be installing disputes in the United States which are designed to weaken the domestic energy sector while stimulating China, according to a letter obtained by Fox News Digital.

Energy Foundation China (EFC), a non -profit organization based in San Francisco with a great presence in Beijing, seems to finance some of the prosecution, said Kobach, an elected republican.

“Unsurprisingly, the EFC seems to support actions that align with the strategic interest of China to stimulate alternative energy production systems in which China controls the crucial supply chains for minerals, batteries, solar panels and other necessary energy technologies,” Kobach wrote.

Kobach has added that the non -profit organization has “close ties” with the Chinese Communist Party and that the GM should investigate for a possible inappropriate foreign influence on the American economy.

Energy Foundation China has a well -documented history of tens of millions of dollars to environmental groups.

State Armor, a non -profit organization focused on national security, published a report last month detailing the flow of funds in and out of the energy of China and how this money allows the defense groups of the climate to prosper and to place prosecution in the name of their causes.

“As part of their strategy to control our energy network and our supply chains, they control non -profit organizations and COOPT the left -wing environmental groups to generate the agenda of the CCP through our own judicial systems and universities,” said Michael Lucci, CEO of State Armor, in a press release. “It is a classic OP CCP influence with a good dose of the CCP style law.”

The report indicates, for example, that the Energy Foundation China Foundation was the engine of many prosecution brought against Bayer for allegations that its pesticides used a chemical linked to cancer. Bayer denied complaints, but said that the dispute could force him to get out of the American market. The report warned that in such a scenario, the United States agricultural industry would depend on a Chinese competitor for the products that Bayer would normally provide.

The report also detailed how the leaders of the Chinese energy Foundation include members or former members of the Chinese government.

Kobach’s letter follows the state prosecutor who testified last month during a hearing of the Senate judicial committee on the same question. Senator Ted Cruz, R -Texas, directed the audience, called “to enter the dragon – China and the left of the left against the domination of American energy”.

“Our energy sector is the engine of American prosperity, the cornerstone of our industrial power, our national security and our geopolitical lever effect,” said Cruz during his declaration of opening. “If American energy is attacked, American security and American independence too.”

Senator Pete Welch, D-VT., Suggested during the hearing that it was dishonest to accuse groups that support disputes aimed at reducing carbon emissions from the attempt in a harmful manner to help the Chinese government. Defenders of the climate of China and the United States could have well-intentioned goals that are aligned, Welch said.

“How do you distinguish a person whose motivation is to be a left-wing Chinese sympathizer and people who do not agree with the fossil fuel industry (and believe) that climate change is actually real and we have to do something on this subject?” Welch asked.

The Doj did not respond to a request for comments from Fox News Digital about Kobach’s letter.
