Doctors express their concern about Biden’s apparent cognitive issues during the debate: “Troubling indicators”
“I’m going to tell you what, I know exactly what happened in this debate. He flew around the world, basically, and the mileage he could have stealed in the world three times,” said Hunter Biden during an appearance on “Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan.”
“He is 81 years old. He is tired as s —. They give him a ambien to be able to sleep. He goes on stage and he seems to be a deer in the headlights. And he feeds a story F ————– that everyone wants to tell.”

“In itself, zolpidem can cause a higher risk of falls, modified behavior and superfinity. If it is combined with other substances, the risks are even higher,” said the same source.
“Zolpidem can cause diurnal sleeping, dizzy, confusion and slowdown in brain activity, especially when combined with alcohol, benzodiazepines, opioids or tricyclic antidepressants.”
“Studies have suggested that even the short -term use of Ambien can cause delirium and confusion.”
It is recommended that people aged 65 and more “additional care” after taking the medication, as this can increase the risk of falling.
Dr. Marc Siegel, Fox News principal medical analyst, agreed that Ambien can lead to confusion, hallucinations or out of the body.
“Ambien is not an excellent medication for the elderly for these reasons,” said Siegel, who did not deal with Biden, at Fox News Digital.

However, the doctor continued: “We have no verifiable source to be sure that this is true about the Ambien … He could have taken anything.”
Siegel also stressed that Ambien is not a sedative, and if Biden took him the previous night, he should have dissipated at the time of the debate.
“And taking it just before the debate makes no sense – no doctor recommends it,” said Siegel.

Dr. Michaela Robbins, nurse certified by the board of directors in New York and founder of East X West Med, a hormonal and longevity practice, was not involved in Biden’s care, but commented the possible role of Ambien in his alleged state.
“It is difficult to say without providing a complete medical assessment, but generally the use of Ambien can absolutely cause the type of confusion that Biden seemed to live,” she told Fox News Digital.

“Studies have suggested that even the short -term use of the Ambien can cause delirium and confusion, and that long -term use has been associated with an increased risk of dementia and cognitive decline, in particular in the geriatric population.”
She added: “It is less likely to cause this type of impact in a younger and healthy individual – but for the age of someone Biden, the confusion induced by drugs is common, especially with sedatives.”

Overall, Robbins said, Ambien is recognized as a “problematic and inappropriate drug” when prescribed for the elderly.
“Ambien can be a really dangerous drug in the elderly, especially when or if it is combined with other drugs,” she said.
“For the age of someone Biden, the confusion induced by drugs is common, especially with sedatives.”
Whenever Ambien is prescribed, it is recommended that the patient will receive an in -depth medical assessment and discuss the advantages and disadvantages with a doctor.
“From the point of view of longevity, I think there are better interventions to prevent or treat insomnia which have less health risks and lead to less mental disability,” Robbins advised.
