The incoming president of the National Governors Association (NGA), Governor Kevin Stitt, R-Okla., Is “disappointed” that certain Democratic governors can stop paying their contributions to the Bipartite group.

The Atlantic reported Before the NGA summer meeting in Colorado Springs, Colorado, that at least two Democrats, Govs. Tim Walz from Minnesota and Laura Kelly from Kansas, plan to stop paying their subscription when they were asked to renew their members this month for NGA’s response to President Donald Trump’s second term.

According to the Atlantic report, NGA democratic members complained that the group “did not respond enough” when the Trump administration interrupted federal funding at the start of this year, while Governor Janet Mills of Maine faced Trump against organic men playing in women’s sports and, more recently, when Trump authorized the National Guard to California for ICE protests.

Abegail Cave, Stitt spokesperson, told Fox News Digital before the NGA that “people seem to forget that NGA is a bipartite, not political organization”.

Fox News Digital contacted Walz and Kelly to comment but did not immediately receive an answer.
