President Donald Trump arrived in Scotland Friday evening for a work trip where he should meet British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in the midst of current trade negotiations between the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as to visit several properties.

“We are meeting the Prime Minister tonight,” Trump told journalists on Friday before leaving for Scotland. “We are going to talk about the trade agreement that we have concluded, and perhaps even improve it.”

“We want to talk about certain aspects, which will be good for both countries,” said Trump. “More. Fine. In addition, we are going to do a little celebration together, because, you know, we hear ourselves very well. The United Kingdom has been trying to conclude an agreement with us for 12 years, and we have not been able to do it. We did it, and he does a very good job, this Prime Minister.”

In May, the United States and the United Kingdom announced that the two countries had accepted a major commercial agreement, which marked the first historic commercial negotiation signed after the Liberation Day, when Trump announced generalized rates for several countries on April 2 at a rate range.

Trump, who should stay in Scotland until Tuesday, should also visit his golf courses in Turnberry and Aberdeen abroad.

Visit of the Federal Reserve

Trump visited the Headquarters of the Federal Reserve Thursday, when he increased the excavations to the president of the Federal Reserve Jerome Powell.

Trump accompanied other administration officials for a visit to the headquarters, following $ 2.5 billion in renovations in the building. The massive project has attracted control of the legislators and members of the Trump administration, including the president, who suggested that the huge renovation could represent a tirable offense.

“I think he is terrible … I haven’t seen him as a guy who needed a palace to live,” said Trump on July 16. “But the only thing I would never have guessed is that it would spend two billion dollars and a half to build a little extension on the Fed.”

On Thursday, the two briefly overwhelmed the cost of the renovation, but Trump told journalists thereafter that the two had had a “good meeting” and that there was “no tension”. Trump also closed the speculation he could oust Powell, saying that such a decision would not be necessary.

The Federal Reserve, the Central Bank of the United States, oversees the country’s monetary policy and regulates financial institutions.

Trump historically embarrassed Powell, calling him names like “Numskull” and “Too late”. Likewise, Trump expressed anger towards Powell for ignoring requests for lower interest rates.

“Well, I would like him to lower interest rates, but other than that, what can I tell you?” Trump said on Thursday.

Attraction package signature

Trump signed his package of $ 9 billion on Thursday to accumulate federal funds already approved for foreign aid and public broadcasting.

The measurement of cancellations revoked nearly $ 8 billion in Congress funding already approved for the American Agency for International Development (USAID), a formerly independent agency that provided poor countries and offered development assistance.

The cancellation package also cancels more than a billion dollars from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), which provides federal funding for NPR and PBS.
