The political team of President Donald Trump and the best advisers of the Republican Governor Brian Kemp in Georgia are apparently not on the same wavelength as regards the primary of the Republican Senate of Southeasttern Battleground State.

The breed is crucial for the Republicans aimed at extending their majority to the Senate, Senator Jon Ossoff, who presents himself to a re-election in a state that Trump narrowly carried in the elections of last year, is considered by the GOP as the most vulnerable democrat who asked for a re-election in the mid-term elections next year.

Kemp, a popular conservative governor with two mandates that Trump had criticized in the past, was courted by national Republicans to face Ossoff. But Kemp, who is limited to term, announced earlier this year that he would spend a race in the Senate in 2026.

Sources in Trump’s political orbit and republican sources in Georgia confirm to Fox News that there was an agreement between the president’s political operation and the Kemp political team that they would work together to find a candidate that they could all unify to take Ossoff in the Senate race.

These sources also confirm that KEMP and Trump – the final manufacturer of GOP policy – met two weeks ago to discuss the Senate race in Georgia.

But when the governor launched the name of the former football coach of the University of Tennessee, Derek Dooley, a source close to the president’s political team said “they were told to withdraw because the Trump team was not ready to move forward on anyone.”

And when Kemp and his team progressed with Dooley, it upset Trump’s advisers, who, according to sources, were “already quite annoyed” that Kemp had adopted earlier this year to face Ossoff in the race for the Senate.

“We had an agreement to work together,” a political source from Trump Orbit on Fox News on Friday. “Kemp came out alone – who frustrated and annoyed Trump Orbit.”

The source added that “The best option for GOP in Georgia was and is Brian Kemp.

“The operation which delivered the victory in Georgia was the Trump organization – not a false operation – it is difficult to see it rally to the blind ambition of a person more interested in 2028 than in 2026,” said the source, in a reference not so known to the potential interest of Kemp in Kemp in search of the republican presidential appointment of Kemp.

But a source close to the governor told Fox News that he was not true in fact that they were told to retire on Doley.

And the source added that Kemp meant what he said that he wanted to work with the president and his team and who stays like this.

Kemp’s political team launched the DOLEY TRIAL BALLON for the first time about two months ago. A longtime republican strategist based in Georgia said that the reaction in the fishing state among the Republicans “was very negative”.

DOOLEY, who is the son of the former long -standing football coach from the University of Georgia, Vince DOLEY, is close to KEMP, who is a longtime friend.

And Dooley hired two best Kemp political advisers to help his potential Senate campaign.

A republican source in Georgia indicates that DOLEY’s decision to find out if he will arise could arrive next week.

Republican representative Mike Collins, an ally of Trump and a chamber supporter, will announce his candidacy for the Senate next week, knowledge with knowledge at Fox News Digital said on Friday.

The Republican representative Buddy Carter, who, for a decade, has represented a district in coastal Georgia, launched a Senate campaign in the spring.

Georgia’s insurance commissioner John King also announced a race, but ended his offer on Thursday.

Trump and Kemp have a turbulent political history.

Trump supported the Secretary of State for Georgia at the time in his successful campaign for the 2018 governor.

But during the two years after his electoral defeat in 2020 against former President Joe Biden, who included a slim razor loss in Georgia, Trump attacked Kemp for not canceling the results of the elections in his state.

Trump attenuated the criticisms in 2022 after Kemp crushed former senator David lost by Trump in the elementary of the Governor of the Gop of the State, while Kemp succeeded in re -elected himself to a second term as governor.

But last summer, in the middle of the 2024 presidential campaign, Trump made a 10 -minute tirade against Kemp during a rally in Atlanta, a few houses of the Georgia State Capitol. Trump blamed the governor not only not having canceled the counting of the votes in 2020, but also not to have prevented a county prosecutor from indicating the former president for his attempts to reverse the results.

Trump quickly changed his air on Kemp a few days later, and congratulated the governor in an article on social networks “for all your help and support in Georgia, where a victory is so important for the success of our party and, above all, our country”.

Kemp, in a digital interview Fox News a few days later, minimized Trump’s tirade against him, calling him a “little distraction that is in the past”.

While Dooley is closer to the launch of a campaign, Collins is only a few days before the declaration of his candidacy.

Collins, a businessman who founded a truck company, is in his second mandate representing the 10th district of the Congress of Georgia, which includes a wide strip of urban, suburban and rural areas between Atlanta and Augusta.

The conservative legislator, who is the son of the deceased republican representative Mac Collins in Georgia, has come closer to the launch of a Senate campaign for weeks.

Collins was a leader of the president, the supporter while Trump first presented himself for the republican presidential appointment in the 2016 cycle.

Collins, at the beginning of this year, reintroduced the Lake Riley law, which requires that undocumented immigrants responsible for burglary or theft be held. He bears the name of a nursing student in Georgia killed by a man who had illegally entered the United States, the case attracted national attention.

The bill, which quickly adopted the Chamber and the Senate controlled by the Republicans, became the first legislation signed by Trump when he started his second round of service in the White House.

A republican source said that Collins had a “big relationship” with the president and his political team.

And a Georgia -based republican consultant told Fox News that “the way in which Mike was going to execute is the first fighter in America who was with President Trump.
