A Jewish leader in New York talks about the possibility of a term Zohran Mamdani as mayor of New York, telling Fox News Digital that he is concerned about the security of Jewish residents, as well as all New Yorkers.
Scott Feltman, executive vice-president of One Israel Fund, told Fox News Digital that the Jewish community in the largest city in the country is “not against” a Muslim or any person of faith who presents himself to his functions, but what they oppose are candidates who “align with harmful actors” like Hamas or Hezbollah.
“It was recorded in a local mosque where the imam of this mosque mainly called for the death of the FDI soldiers and praised Hamas’ efforts,” said Feltman. “So that’s what we are opposed to, and it’s a very, very really serious concern.”
Feltman underlined the rise in anti -Semitic attacks in recent years, in particular in New York, which, according to him, “created a certain apprehension in the Jewish community and having this particular candidate who now makes such breakthroughs” is a “real concern”.

Two staff of the Israeli embassy were killed in Washington, DC, earlier this year by a shouting man “free Palestine” at the same time as an Egyptian targeted a pro-Israeli demonstration, killing a person and injuring several others, in Boulder, Colorado.
“I know that every day, I fear for my own staff to know that our organization was called by this candidate, and we have no idea, you know, who follows it and what are their interests and what can be their actions. It is therefore a really serious concern.”
Mamdani, as well as actress Cynthia Nixon, called the Israeli fund earlier this month Article in American Thinker.
“When you go out and align with terminology like Globalize The Intifada, which is essentially an understatement to kill Jews around the world, this is, intifada was essentially a movement in Israel 25 years ago to destroy the state of Israel and did not discriminate civil or military staff,” Fox News Digital.

“And when you want to globalize this, messaging is very clear for people who listen and follow and have put many people in the Jewish community, if not to us, to note and created the feeling of real concern. I am concerned for New York in general. It is not only the Jewish community. Even if he continues to double rhetoric, but the simple fact of finance the police puts everyone here in danger. “”
Mamdani was widely criticized for his initial failure to condemn the phrase “globalizing the intifada”, which many Jews consider as a call to violence. Mamdani finally fell back his initial reluctance by saying that he discourages people from using the sentence and told business leaders that he would not use it.
