The continuous repercussions of the management of the case of Jeffrey Epstein partially paralyzed the agenda of the republicans of the house this week.

The frustrated legislators of the GOP found themselves in a field of political mines on the late pedophile, pointing out their fingers on each other, the Democrats and even the Trump administration as members of the base of President Donald Trump continue to demand immediate transparency.

“We must be consistent and transparent. So we have always asked for the publication of Epstein files, and that should not stop now that we are in charge, a republican at Fox News Digital said anonymity.

“This question does not disappear. More quickly, we treat ourselves and fract it in the egg, then we remove it from the table as a problem that democrats can use against us and can be used, as you see, procedural, to prevent other good legislations from being done.”

A memo from the Ministry of Justice (DoJ) earlier this month declaring that the Epstein affair closed has sparked a civil war within the GOP, with figures on the far right accusing the officials of Stonewalling Trump despite the promises of transparency.

A few days later, Trump called on a federal judge to publish a testimony from the Grand Jury in the case of Epstein.

The Democrats, on the other hand, seized discord with new calls to “release Epstein files”, as representative Jim McGovern, D-Mass., The best Democrat of the Chamber Rules Committee, has put it on several occasions.

The Panel Democrats – which serves as a final guardian for legislation which requires a simple majority vote – used their ability to introduce an unlimited number of amendments during the committees to force the Republicans to take politically sticky votes on the publication of information on Epstein.

“There is a list, this list is a list of victims. And you must carefully follow a list of victims, because it involved Epstein. Epstein was involved with minors,” said representative Ryan Zinke, R-Mont. “I think that the other is, I find ironic just outside the circumstances, that the Democrats push so hard for an Epstein file that the Biden administration had for four years.”

This has led the GOP managers to advance a non -binding resolution calling for the Trump administration to publish the files, although it is not clear when this receives a voting on the chamber level.

But the Democrats undertook to work from the same game book during a hearing of the Monday evening rules committee to launch the GOP agenda. The Republicans responded by forcing these procedures to stop.

The leaders of the Chamber canceled a voting day scheduled for Thursday: send legislators to the recess in August one day earlier.

“The rules committee will not meet, and rightly so. They were going to use all the time, and they told us, just amendment after the modification. They think they have a corner on this subject – they do not,” said the representative of the Ralph Norman committee, Rs.c., at Fox News Digital.

He is one of the many Republicans of the Chamber who told Fox News Digital that they gave a deference to the Trump administration during the management of the question – while praising the way the White House has managed it so far.

Several legislators have told Fox News Digital that President Mike Johnson, R-La., Urged the Republicans at their closed conference on Tuesday morning to allow the administration to do their work and not to demand the disclosure of information that could risk harming Epstein victims.

A person said, “We don’t want to embarrass ourselves, continue to ask and ask for something, then he goes out, and it’s like -” We didn’t want it. “But I mean, we have to trust the administration.”

“The administration has done an excellent job. All the victories they have – I will not let this path to do them,” said Norman. “In 45 days or two months, if nothing happens, it will be a problem. But that will not happen. We will get it out.”

A few moments later, he brought himself to X to demand an immediate vote on the non -binding resolution of Epstein.

“The American people deserves the action, no excuses. Let’s go on it before the recess of August and do it !!” Said Norman.

The Southern Carolina Republican, who plans an offer for the governor, is one of the many conservatives who push the question, despite the calls of the leaders of the GOP to remain silent on the issue.

The representative Thomas Massie, R-Ky., Associates himself with the representative Ro Khanna, D-Calif., On a measure which could force a vote on the scale of the house on the publication of documents related to Epstein-if this has allowed the majority of the support of the Chamber. This mechanism, called a discharge petition, could force the leaders of the GOP in a difficult position when they returned in early September.

Several Republican legislators have signed the measurement of Massie in support.

Meanwhile, the Chamber’s supervisory committee unanimously approved a move to the representative Tim Buchett, R-Tenn., To call for the imprisoned association of former partner Ghislaine Maxwell.

Three other House Republicans, however, told Fox News Digital that they thought that most of the legislators wanted the issue to dissipate.

One locked up on Massie and its non-binding resolution, “it does all this for self-promotion and attention, and it is sad and pathetic.”

Even Johnson targeted Massie at his weekly press conference when he asked him about his exit petition.

“It is interesting for me that he has chosen the election of President Trump to ensure that the Democrats join forces and bring this exit petition,” said the president.

“I also try to follow the writing. You know that said, bless those who persecute you. So let me say Thomas Massie: could you just accept my south, bless his heart.”

He also pointed out that the administration was going through the information on the information he could disclose.

“There is no goal for the congress to push an administration to do something they already do. And it is therefore for political games. I am very, very resolved on this subject. We can both call for total transparency and also protect the victims, “said Johnson.

The representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-GA., An ally of Trump who supports the exit petition of Massie, told journalists: “I am for transparency, but we must just be a little patient with the court.”

Several people have noted that any bomb information involving Trump or other high -level characters would have disclosed.

But the other two Republicans of the Chamber who spoke with Fox News Digital said they and their colleagues were frustrated by the way the Trump administration had dealt with the issue so far.

“We have to give him the opportunity to simmer,” said one of the two legislators. “I will say, for me, when you say that the list is on your desktop, and there is no list – you can’t take this back. And I think it’s probably the genesis of everything.”

It was in reference to Bondi indicating to Fox News Channel on the list of Epstein customers in February, “he is sitting on my desk at the moment to see again.”

Another GOP legislator told Fox News Digital: “You cannot set up all these expectations and do not expect criticism on the backend when you decide not to go ahead … I don’t understand it at all.”

And Massie, for her part, remained fixed in her course while arguing that doing otherwise will cost the Republicans the 2026 elections. He also accused Johnson of having told the Republicans of “sticking your head in the sand” and posting the Trump administration.

“If we do not take the good side of this question, it will cost us votes halfway through. People become discouraged. They are apathetic. Why would they vote if they gave us the room, the Senate and the White House and the transparency and the justice which were promised to them do not happen?” Said Massie. “And I think that could be a real problem for us. This is why it would belong to the speaker to bring this on the ground. It would be in the best interest of this institution just to vote and give it to the Senate and let them do their thing.”

When he was contacted to comment, the White House responded with a long statement praising Trump’s achievements which did not mention Epstein.

“Under the leadership of President Trump, the Republican Party reached unprecedented unity and force. After obtaining the largest share of votes for a republican presidential candidate and won the majority at the same time in the House and the Senate, President Trump delivered the first six most impactful months of any presidency. He made many campaign promises – then a few!” said spokesman Harrison Fields.

Indeed, the Republicans have experienced a number of significant legislative successes this year, even with a thin majority as a razor.

When he was contacted to comment, a spokesperson for the DoJ pointed to Fox News digital to the declaration of the Tedd Blanche sub-procureor on Tuesday, by digging the previous note from the department.

“(I) n The recent in -depth revision of the files maintained by the FBI in the Epstein case, no evidence has been discovered which could predict an investigation against non -loaded third parties. President Trump told us to disclose all credible evidence. If Ghislane Maxwell has information on anyone who said crimes against the victims, the FBI and the Doj will hear what she said. “Consequently, in the direction of the Attorney General Bondi, I communicated with Ms. Maxwell’s lawyer to determine if she would be willing to speak with prosecutors of the ministry.”
