High-offensive production of the WNBA All-Star Game led the ESPN to the ESPN host it duncan to say something that much considered it quite rude on live television.
It is not uncommon to see a lack of defense in a match of basketball stars, it doesn’t matter if it’s the WNBA or the NBA. But Duncan had an interesting way to describe this side of the game at half-time during the broadcast of ABC on Saturday evening.
“We hope it will become a little more competitive,” said Duncan after watching the Napheesa Collier team put 82 dishes to the Caitlin Clark 60 team in the first half. “Because like a girl’s trip to Cancun, there is no D.”

ESPN analyst Chiney Ogwumike quickly said: “You are in the waiting period. You have finished.” Then, the broadcast went to advertising.
After the omnipresent line has found its way on social networks, there were some who did not like Duncan’s humor.
Michele Tafoya claims that “jealousy” led to the shocking vote of Caitlin Clark Wnba: “ it’s so stupid ”
“Add this to a long list of the reason why no one takes seriously @wnba or @espn,” said an X user under a Duncan video, published by Awful Annting.

“If Shane Gillis said that, they would try to cancel it,” said another, referring to the Espys monologue of the actor who turned heads last week.
When the second half finally started, there was even more offense than the Defense, while Collier paved the way with 36 points to help his team beat Clark, 151-131, to win the star match.
Clark did not play in the match, as she continues to treat an injury to the groin that harassed throughout this WNBA season in 2025. She suffered it Tuesday against Connecticut Sun, which forced her to be sidelined for Indiana fever in their match against New York freedom on Wednesday.
