Livvy Dunne Slams New York Times for a controversial title “ Sex Sells ”

The former gymnast LSU Livvy Dunne still does not leave the New York Times for a controversial story of 2022 on her which used a title which included the expression “Sex Sells”.
THE November 2022 articleEntitled “The new endorsements for university athletes are surfaced an old concern: sex sells”, described Dunne as “a little blonde with a bright smile and a tonic physique of a gymnast”. The article continued to assert this company of name, image and resemblance in female university sports “rewards traditional female desirability for athletic excellence”.
Dunne spoke out against the newspaper in an interview on “What is your story?” podcast. She recalled that the staff of the newspaper had told her to wear the outfit they ended up putting the damn title.

“They came to our gymnastics installation in LSU, took pictures of me. They said:` `Wear your team outfit, put a leotaucorps ” and they took a picture of me standing in front of the beam, like any gymnast, then they exploded it on the screen and put the title,` `sex sex ”, alleged on the podcast.

Dunne has been one of the most followed athletes on social networks since she joined LSU. It has more than 8 million followers on Tiktok and 5.4 million others on Instagram. She helped Tigers in a national championship in 2024, but her last year with LSU derailed due to an injury.
Since then, she has been seen encouraging her boyfriend, Paul Skenes, while he has made waves in MLB with the Pirates of Pittsburgh.
