Do not commit to Nick Saban to return to university football.

Rumors about the potential return of the legendary coach started earlier this week after the former quarter of Alabama, Greg Mcelroy, said in his radio show that Saban could come back to the future.

Mcelroy admitted that he did not believe it was true.

A few days later, the daughter of Saban, Kristen, posted on her Instagram story a photo of her father walking on the ground, subtitling him: “Damn, I miss it.”

With timing, fans thought it was a prefiguration of a huge ad.

This was not the case.

“Apparently, some of you feel trolled by my last story of Nick’s ranging … He can’t come back to training, I hate you break it,” said Kristen in another article on his story, via the New York Post. “You had your time.”

Saban surprisingly retired after the college season of 2023-24, which ended with a defeat of Rose Bowl against the possible national champion Michigan Wolverines. And the remuneration landscape for the game that university sports has become seems to have played a role in its decision even if it denied it in past interviews.

“All the things I thought in all these years – 50 years of coaching – no longer exists University athletics“Said Saban shortly after her retirement.” It was always a question of developing players, always helping people succeed in life.

“My wife even said to me – We all recruits on Sunday with their parents for breakfast. She always met mothers and was talking about the way she was going to help have an impact on their sons and how they would be well taken care of. She came to me just before my retirement and said:” Why are we doing this? “I said,” What do you want to say? “She said:” All they care about is how much you will pay them.

“For me, it was in a way a red alert that we really create a circumstance here which is not beneficial for young people, that is why I have always done what I did. My father did it, I did. So, that is why I still like university athletics more than NFL, because you have had the opportunity to develop young people.”
