“Gaza – We have recovered most hostages,” said Trump when his comments turned to the Middle East. “We are going to have ten others very soon. And we hope it has finished fairly quickly,” added the president.

The rest of Trump’s address Friday evening mainly included praise for the Republicans of the Congress on their work by adopting the Big Beautiful Bill Act, the president declaring that he does not think that anyone is getting closer to “adopting such radical legislation with such a small majority.
In particular, Trump thanked by his name, the head of the majority of the Senate, John Thune, the president of the Chamber Mike Johnson, the Whip of the majority of the Senate John Barrasso, the president of the Republican Policy Committee Shelly Moore-Capito, the president of the Senate Financial Committee, Mike Crapo, and the president of the Senatorial Budget Committee Lindsey.
“No one has done so quickly. And you might probably say, with so few votes,” said Trump. “You stayed in session for a marathon for ten consecutive weeks, and it is the longest of all the Senate in 15 years. And you held more than 400 votes, more than any Senate in 35 years. And they succeeded. And a few weeks ago, we had the biggest victory of all. When you adopted the Big Beautiful Bill.”

The president also welcomed the Republicans for all the work they have accomplished on immigration, border security, foreign diplomacy, rapid appointments of the cabinet, deregulation and efforts to reduce expenses, calling the Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the special envoy Steve Witkoff specifically for their work on foreign diplomacy in the United States.

Friday evening, the top of the mind was also the package of GOP’s stories, whose passage passed. Trump did not indicate when he would sign the GOP bill, but noted that “we have many other accounts to come, adding more than $ 10 billion.”

Meanwhile, Trump also predicted that in 2026, the majority of the GOP “will be stronger both in the House and the Senate”. As a general rule, conventional wisdom predicts that the party which won the presidency will generally not work as well two years later during the mid-term elections.
“I do not understand why they say that when you win the presidency, you always almost automatically lose the community, because no one had a more successful period of time than us,” Trump told the crowd of the White House participants on Friday evening. “Based on this, we should do very well.”

Trump added on Friday that “we realized more in six months that almost all administrations could not accomplish in eight years”.
“And we are going to make him a lot of six good months. We are going to have six and six others. So we will continue,” he continued. “During the next year and a half, we will have an incredible record to share with the American people,” he continued. “As long as we continue to keep our promises to voters, the Americans will continue to stay by our side.”
