New York Town Hall candidate Zohran Mamdani told business leaders at a closed -door meeting this week that he would not use the slogan “globalize the intifada” and discourage others from using it in the future, Fox News confirmed.

After months to refuse to condemn the anti-Israeli rallying cry which according to the American Jewish Committee“Call people from around the world to participate in the rise against Israel,” Mamdani told more than 140 business leaders than a conversation with a Jewish woman on how this sentence triggers memories of terrible incidents had changed their mind.

The New York Times Mamdani first pointed out Comments Tuesday after his meeting with business leaders at the partnership for New York in the offices of Tishman Speyer at the Rockefeller Center.

Wednesday in Washington, DC, at another closed-door meeting organized by representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Dn.y., on how to carry out a successful digital campaign, the sentence condemnation was absent from the conversations between the national democratic leaders who participated.

The slogan “Globalize The Intifada” aroused tensions within the Democratic Party since Mamdani was requested by the host of the Podcast Balwark, Tim Miller, if the sentence made him uncomfortable. Mamdani said he did not support the police or the language ban when he has repeatedly asked by journalists if he would condemn the sentence.

Unsurprisingly, his competitor of the town hall race, former governor Andrew Cuomo, joined the choir of Jewish defenders and coalitions who criticized Mamdani’s refusal to condemn the sentence.

“It’s not just false, it’s dangerous,” Cuomo said in a statement shortly after the viral clip. “There are not two sides here,” he added.

But while Mamdani returns his position to others using the sentence – popular among the pro -Palestine demonstrations that broke out at Columbia University and other university campuses while the War of Israel against Hamas in Gaza is raging – National Democrats began to weigh on the controversial slogan.
