Cornyn says he talked to Trump about his approval

Senator John Cornyn, R -Texas – who is re -elected next year and faced with a main challenge by the general prosecutor of the state of Lone Star Ken Paxton – told NBC News that he had spoken to President Donald Trump.

“I told him about it several times. He is not ready to make this approval”, Cornyn said to the exit. “I think that when we start to advertise and fill the gap in the polls, I hope it will see good to do this approval, but we cannot wait.”

Cornyn spent more than two decades in the Senate – before taking office at the end of 2002, he was a attorney general of Texas, the position that Paxton is currently held.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Cornyn Campaign’s main advisor Matt Mackowiak said that “President Trump’s approval is the most powerful approval in modern history of the Republican Party”.

Fox News Digital also contacted the White House and in Paxton’s campaign to comment.

Paxton’s wife, Texas State Senator Angela Paxton, a republican, said in social media publications last week that after “after 38 years of marriage”, she “asked for divorce for biblical land”.
