Only 19% of the voters interviewed in a new national survey give Democrats at the Congress a boost on the way in which they take care of their functions, with 72% disapproving.

It is a hollow of all time since the Quinnipiac university began to ask questions of approval of the congress in their surveys 16 years ago.

The Democratic Party has been in the political desert since the November elections, when the Republicans have recognized control of the White House and the Senate and defended their fragile majority. And the Republicans have made gains among black, Hispanic and younger voters, all traditional members of the Democratic Party base.

From the president Donald Trump Back to power earlier this year, an increasingly energetic democrat base urges party leaders to take a stronger position by pushing the president’s second scanning and controversial program. Their anger is addressed not only to the Republicans, but to the Democrats, they do not feel vocal enough in their opposition to Trump.

And that fueled a dive into the favorable notes of the Democratic Party, which struck historical stockings in several surveys this year.

Four months after Trump’s second term, Democrats remain deeply pessimistic about their party

The trend is reflected in the new Quinnipiac survey, which was led from July 10 to 14.

Only 39% of Democrats approve the way in which Democrats in the Congress manage their jobs, with 52% disapproach and 9% offering no opinion.

“Democrat approval figures can be characterized as terrible,” said Tim Maloy, analyst of the Quinnipiac University.

Although the Republicans’ approval notes in the Congress are not as “terrible” as Democrats, they have nothing to boast.

Only a third of the voters interviewed in the survey said they approved the way in which the Congress Republicans took care of their functions, 62% giving them a boost.

But just over three -quarters of the Republicans (77%) said they had approved how GOP legislators in Capitol Hill took care of their work, with only one in five.

Forty percent of the respondents approved how Trump manages his work as president, with 54% disapproving.

Trump’s approval notes were in positive territory during the first weeks of his second service round in the White House. But the president’s survey numbers were underwater in most, but not all of the latest national surveys.

Presidential and congress notes have long been monitored by barometers before a mid-term election.

The Republicans will defend their slim majority in the House and Senate halfway up next year and will also be faced with traditional opposite winds that hinder the ruling party.
