Alicia Tournebize, 17, Dunks for France in victory over Belgium

Alicia Tournebize may not yet be a familiar name in female basketball, but it is viral moments like Sunday that will quickly make her name in the head of the fans.
Tournebize helped France end third place in the FIBA U18 Eurobasket 2025 women against Belgium.
The French won the match, 72-47.
But the highlight came to the fourth quarter when she stole the ball to her Belgian opponent.

The 6 -foot 4 inch athlete was in transition alone and threw a sensational dunk.
Tournebize, 17, scored 19 points and seized 12 rebounds while France resumed its fifth consecutive podium.

The Dunk was not the first in his Tournebize career. She became the first French women’s basketball player to dip in a match when she did it for Hopes de Bourges in a NF2 League match. She then dipped for Tango Bourges Basket U18 in February.
The center will be 18 years old in eight days from Sunday.
French women’s basketball has been on fire in the past 15 years. The French won the silver medal at the 2024 Olympic Games, in bronze at the Tokyo and Silver Games in London in 2012.

The team finished fourth in the Women’s Eurobasket last June. Some Tango Bourges basket players are currently on the national list, including Tima Pouye and Pauline Astier.
