The former White House doctor pleads the fifth on Biden’s health

Dr. Kevin O’Connor made a house call this week.
Specifically at the House of Representatives.
O’Connor was the doctor of President Biden. The Chamber’s supervisory committee wanted to speak to O’Connor to know if Biden was able to be president. The chairman of the James Comer Chamber’s supervisory committee, R-Ky., Published an assignment for O’Connor.
The doctor was in it.
But not very long.
After 20 minutes behind the closed doors with comment And the company concluded the deposit. The lawyers of the Committee pointed out O’Connor of questions to find out if he thought that former president Biden was up to work and he was invited to lie about the health of the commander -in -chief. But Commer obtained the same answer every time. Even when the lawyers of the committee asked a simple question, asking O’Connor if he understood the procedure.

O’Connor has deployed his fifth amendment against self-incrimination each time. The committee even took the rare no publication of a video of most deposits the same evening.
“Most people invoke the fifth when they have a criminal responsibility. And you know, that’s what it seems (being) on the surface here,” said commers after the deposit. “The American people have the right to know the president’s state of health. Both physical and mental.”
Commer observed that the silence of O’Connor “adds more fuel to the fire than there was concealment”.
Representative Jasmine Crockett, D-TEX., Was the only democrat in standing at the deposition. Crockett has just bowed a few weeks ago after an attempt to become the best democrat of the supervisory committee after the death of the deceased representative Gerry Connolly, D-VA.
“It was important to make sure that a democrat was in the room. Because unfortunately, sometimes people like to choose icing and make sure they can give everything that corresponds to their story,” said Crockett.

But the video revealed O’Connor by repeatedly quoting the fifth amendment “on the advice of the lawyer”. This is why Commer hoped to shape a story on the health of former president Biden. Commer also suggested the potential durations that O’Connor was willing to go to protect the former president. And perhaps himself.
Crockett was incredulous in Commer’s claims.
“It’s a bit surprising to hear someone say that if you invoke the fifth amendment, it’s only because you’re guilty,” said Crockett. “(The Republicans) were very good at rallying people and emotional because they do not fully understand some of our processes.”
Crockett added that patients “have the right to confidentiality with regard to your health care”.
The Ministry of Justice has launched an investigation into the use of the autopen by Biden. The lawyers of O’Connor say that this led their client to exercise their rights to the fifth amendment.

“We want to emphasize that the assertion of the privilege of the fifth amendment does not imply that Dr. O’Connor has committed a crime,” said his legal team.
And the declaration also said that there were concerns about what O’Connor retains medical information about the first patient with confidence.
“The committee said he demanded that Dr. O’Connor reveals, without any limitation, confidential confirmation concerning his medical exams, treatment and care of President Biden,” said the statement. “The revelation of the confidential information of patients would violate the most fundamental ethical duty of a doctor.”
His lawyers continued by saying that O’Connor could face the “civil liability” and the “revocation” of his medical license.
Anyway, O’Connor did not answer any questions anywhere. Inside the meeting room. Head for the meeting room. Or go home.
“Do you want to invoke the fifth? And the confidentiality of the patient’s doctor?” Yours really asked O’Connor while sailing in a corridor on the third floor in the building of the office of the house Rayburn with a small cottery of lawyers. “Do you think that (President Biden) was up to work? Do you think he was in place to serve?”

No answer.
O’Connor resumed his reluctance by leaving.
“Have you taken the fifth because you are trying to hide what was the president’s state?” I asked by leaving a Rayburn staircase cage.
Nothing.
The doctor’s lawyer declared that the pact between doctors and patients “demands that Dr. O’Connor refuses to testify.”
This is a question that annoys, even doctors who serve as legislators.
This is the case with Senator Roger Marshall, R-Kan. It’s an ob-gyn.

“I can see both sides. I can certainly see, as a doctor, you take a confidentiality oath with each patient. If there is a national security problem, does that prevail to this relationship?” reflected in Marshall. “I should really think about it. I want to do some consultations myself and speak to certain constitutional lawyers.”
But apart from the constitutional, ethical and medical issues, the Democrats returned to the defense of the former president.
I asked Crockett if she never perceived health problems with the president.
“No” he can get tested by words. But this is nothing new. And it is nothing that (did not come) with age. “

There had been a discussion on O’Connor cooperation without assignment. Commer argues that his investigation is not to plow some of the same political areas of Biden explored a few years ago when it was thought that the former president could request a second term. These are not commercial transactions or Burisma or “influencing hawking”. But Commer here poses a legitimate question about the ability of a president. Any president. Regardless of what Crockett says, there are a lot of questions about the acuity of Mr. Biden and if the staff made decisions – instead of the president.
And these questions are not new when it comes to presidential health. President Woodrow Wilson underwent a stroke during his mandate. Historians believe that the first lady Edith Wilson has made decisions on behalf of the president. The questions persisted on President Ronald Reagan. And the Washington Press Corps was an accomplice to hide the infirm by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt of the public at a time before television and social media.
The committee is rolling in other former Biden personalities in the coming days. This includes the former chief of staff of Biden, Ron Klain and Anthony Bernal, a high-level assistant in the former first lady Jill Biden.

Due to the confidentiality of the patient, we may never know the true analysis of O’Connor of former president Biden. This is a problem because the public deserves to know if the commander -in -chief is up to par.
But there is a special relationship between a patient and his doctor.
The question is whether national security issues and government administration prevail over these private rights.
