Democrats and Republicans compete on the application of masked immigration

Boker and Padilla’s bill would also require that all federal agents clearly display the name or initials of their agency and their name or badge number.

Trump weighed on the new legislation this week, saying to Peter DOOCY of Fox News that Booker and Padilla would not propose this bill “if they did not hate our country”.

“These officers are doing a great job,” he continued. “These are great patriots.”

But Booker retaliated on X, by writing: “We love America and that we like to keep the Americans safe. This is why we have introduced the visible act which obliges glacial agents to wear identifiable badges and to lead their unmasked duties. It is a fact that policies centered on transparency and responsibility are effective in making communities, and the application of the law behaves all around.”
