Jake Paul called Ben Askren “one of the most tough fighters” during the fear of health

Ben Askren continues to fight pneumonia. On Wednesday, the former Olympic wrestler and star of the MMA revealed that he had undergone a double pulmonary transplant.

His wife, Amy, said that in a series of publications on social networks, Askren had been placed in a fan in June and placed on a list of donors for a pulmonary transplant on June 24.

Jake Paul, the Professional Boxer of the advance on the star of Youtube, took a moment to lead praise for his former opponent. Paul described Askren as “one of the most tough fighters” during his battle against a serious infection.

“Shout in Ben Askren. I just proved that he is one of the most difficult fighters of all time,” Paul wrote to X on Wednesday.

Paul’s comments surfaced shortly after Askren said he “died only four times” before a pulmonary transplant.

“No memory. Zero idea. No idea what happened,” Askren said in a video Posted on his social media account on what he has recalled most of the last six weeks. “I just read my wife’s newspaper. It’s like a film. It’s ridiculous. I only died four times, where the ticker stopped for about 20 seconds.”

Askren also said that he had lost around 50 pounds during the 45 -day section.

“What was most impeccable for me is all the love I felt,” said Askren. “It was almost as if I had to have my own funeral.”

Askren won consecutive NCAA wrestling titles in Missouri and participated in the 2008 summer Olympic Games for the United States before moving to MMA, where he fought for Bellator and a championship. He then pivoted the UFC octagon.

Askren moved away from MMA after a half-maia defeat in 2019. He had a 19-2 file with one without competition.

He has history with Paul. The fighters met in a match in April 2021. Paul won the fight by Ko Technical in the first round.
