Dan Bongino of the FBI and the Attorney General Bondi compete on Epstein files

The deputy director of the FBI, Dan Bongino, plans to resign for the processing by the Ministry of Justice of the Jeffrey Epstein files, said a source to Fox News Digital, noting that Bongino took a day on Friday because of his frustrations.

Bongino has not been seen in the office since Wednesday, a source told Fox News Digital. He has not yet made a final decision on his future, said the source.

The last revelation comes in the heels of a stormy argument between Bongino and the American prosecutor general Bondi This occurred in the White House on Wednesday, two sources confirmed.

Bondi and FBI director Kash Patel have been in contact several times in the past few days and are on the same wavelength, a source told Fox News Digital.

Sources close to Bondi say that it does not intend to resign and are proud of the department and its work. Patel, too, says he is satisfied with his work and does not intend to leave, a source in close contact with the director told Fox News Digital.

Earlier Friday, Deputy Prosecutor General Todd Blanche also postponed internal conflict reports.

“I worked in close collaboration with @Fbidirectorkash and @Fbiddbongino on the FBI and DoJ’s memo on Epstein files,” said Blanche on X. “We have all signed on the content of the memo and the conclusions indicated in the memo.

“The suggestion of anyone that there was daylight between the FBI and the leadership of the DoJ on the composition and the release of this note is manifestly false.”
