The secret services suspended 6 agents after July 2024 attempted assassination on Trump

Six secret service agents were suspended without salary or services following an attempted shooter to take the life of President Donald Trump during a Pennsylvania rally last July.
Matt Quinn, assistant director of the agency, told CBS News On Wednesday, they “did not go (their) from that”, but said they were “laser focused on fixing the deep cause of the problem”.
Quinn told the point of sale that the agents’ penalty varied from 10 to 42 days of unpaid leave, adding that they had been placed in limited roles with less responsibility once they returned to the post. He said that disciplinary measures were in accordance with a compulsory process by the federal government.
Fox News Digital contacted the secret services for an independent confirmation, but did not hear say at the time of publication.

Corey Comperatore, a 50 -year -old firefighter, father and husband attending the rally, was killed while Trump’s ear was blurred by a bullet and two other men were injured by gunshots.
Crooks was killed by an elite of secret service.

“The secret services are fully responsible for Butler,” quinn told CBS. “Butler has been an operational failure and we focus today on the guarantee that this is no longer happening.”
He also declared that the agency focuses on the “deep cause” of operational failure and the fixing “of the gaps that put us in this situation”.
Since the Rallye Butler, Quinn has said that the secret services had introduced a new fleet of military quality drones and mobile command posts to improve radio communications with local police.

The agency was faced with more criticism a few weeks later when a second assassination attempt on Trump took place in West Palm Beach, Florida. Although he was arrested, the director of services at the time, Kimberly Cheatle, resigned and the agency underwent several surveys and hearings of the Congress.
A working group on the Bipartite house published a 180 -page report in December declaring that the Butler incident was “avoidable”, citing “problems of leadership and pre -existing training” which “created an environment” where security failures were possible.

In the report, legislators also stressed that the secret services did not coordinate or planned well with local police.
