“It was the greatest honor of my life to serve as president,” said the letter. “And although I intend to ask for a re -election, I think it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand up and to focus only on the exercise of my functions of president for the rest of my mandate.”
Biden did not approve of Harris as his successor in the letter, but rather launched his support behind his vice-president in a post-time follow-up shortly after.

“2024: How Trump took over the White House and Lost America Democrats,” was published on Tuesday and written by Josh Dawsey of the Wall Street Journal, Tyler Pager of the New York Times and Isaac Arnsdorf of the Washington Post.
Biden’s office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s comments on the book and its allegations on Tuesday afternoon.
