First on Fox: President Donald Trump The Ministry of Internal Security (DHS) has today sent administrative assignments to Harvard University on information related to the crime and misconduct of foreign students on its campus.
The agency criticized the “refusal to cooperate” of the Ivy League school with previous requests for the program of students and exchanges of Visitor de Harvard (SEVP), which provides visas to non-citizens to study in the United States
“We tried to do the simplest things with Harvard,” Fox News Digital told Fox News. “Now, thanks to their refusal to cooperate, we have to do things to the hard. Harvard, like other universities, has allowed foreign students to abuse their visa privileges and defend violence and terrorism on the campus.”

Administrative assignment is the last legal decision of the battle between the Trump administration and the Elite University. The SEVP was a key problem after anti -Semitic demonstrations raged on campus in the midst of Israeli and Palestinian conflicts, possibly Excuse of the president of Harvard Alan Garber.

The refusal to comply with an administrative assignment has intense consequences such as civil sanctions, criminal charges, an outrage in court and / or audits and inspections of an organization.
The secretary of the DHS, Kristi Noem, Harvard had previously asked Harvard to provide information concerning criminal misconduct in April of this year, committing to that non-compliance would result in the revocation of the student and exchange visitors program.
Harvard sent information to DHS following the initial request, although Noem considered data from Ivy University as an “insufficient, incomplete and unacceptable response”.

Harvard responded to the cancellation of the program by Noem with a trial entitled President and comrades of Harvard College c. Dhsalleging that the Trump administration’s decision to block the SEVP was unconstitutional and reprisals.
“This is the last act of the government in clear reprisals for Harvard exercising his first amendment rights to reject the government’s requests to control Harvard’s governance, the study program and the ideology of his teachers and students,” Harvard wrote in his complaint.
The American district judge Allison D. Burroughs du Massachusetts, who was appointed by President Barack Obama in 2014, then granted a request for a temporary prohibition of Harvard after filing the trial.

The current temporary prohibition order allows Harvard to continue to issue visa documents and register students through the student and exchange visitors program.
