President Donald Trump Has praised the billions of dollars of border security and immigration efforts included in the so-called “big and beautiful bill” that he signed last week-although he suggested on Tuesday that the administration might not need to spend as much for application efforts there as previously thought.
Addressing journalists at the White House on Tuesday afternoon, Trump praised the billions of dollars approved in the expense package led by the Republicans, including billions of funding to turbocier the repression of the hard line that his administration prioritized during his second mandate in the White House.
Among other things, the law includes $ 45 billion for the construction of new immigration detention centers and around $ 30 billion in spending to finance immigration and customs operations (ICE) – including new transportation expenses, for the maintenance of ice facilities and to support the hiring of an estimate of additional 10,000 officers.
Trump told journalists on Tuesday that the repression of the border of his administration could allow them to reduce expenses to the border, reiterating a previous statement that “zero” migrants entered the United States last month.

He praised border security expenses, although he noted: “I don’t think we will need it (over there), because we had no coming last month,” he said, in front of borders.
“So I don’t know how much we want to spend.”
“You can think about it,” he said. “You can really think about saving a lot of money because the wall has been largely built, and this obviously worked.”
Since his entry into office in January, Trump has adopted an aggressive immigration program, prioritizing border security efforts, massively widening ice raids, quickly expelling certain migrants and trying to end the protections of Citizenship of IR rights at birth for migrants born in the United States by executive order, among others.
By praising the “zero” border passages, Trump seems to refer to a customs of customs and protection of American borders (CBP).
This report is the most recent data accessible to the public provided by the Federal Agency, which said that they had released zero illegal immigrants to the United States during the last 30-day period. It is a striking drop in Biden administration and the previous month.
The number of border meetings has also decreased, said CBP, American officials of the border patrol reporting only 8,725 meetings with illegal immigrants trying to enter the United States in May, against 117,905 of these meetings in May 2024 under the Biden administration.
Trump has not immediately detailed more details on immigration application efforts funded by the Republican Spending Bill. But he used the time to excite the Biden administration and the Democrats for what he criticized as lax border policies – and that he suggested on Tuesday that other countries had sought to operate under the mandate of the White House of his predecessor.

Biden, Trump said on Tuesday, allowed people to enter the United States “simply uncontrolled. Open borders without verification, not appreciated.”
“The whole world has been thrown into our country prisons, gangs, psychiatric institutions,” said Trump. It was not immediately clear to which country or asylum that Trump was referring to, and he did not develop more.
“We have a lot of people who walk in the streets, walking in areas that we know nothing that came out of insane asylums,” he said.
“”And it is incredible the work you and Tom Homan do, by the way, “said Trump, turning to the secretary of the DHS, Kristi Noem.
“But, we have to take them out, and we have no choice. And we took them out.”

This also occurs when his application campaign has discussed a mixed response from the American public.
