More than 158 million voters voted in the presidential election last year

More than 211 million people were active registered voters for the general elections of 2024.

And more than 158 million voters voted in the presidential election last year.

These figures comply with a report published in the congress by the US election assistance committee (EAC), which has conducted the election administration and electoral surveys into the federal elections for two decades.

The commission is boasting that it “provides the most complete source of data at the level of state jurisdiction and local jurisdiction on elections administration in the United States”.

And the participation rate was the second highest of the last five presidential elections, rushing only in the 2020 elections.

The participation rate of 64.7% of the population of the citizen voting age in the United States was a slight decrease of 3% compared to four years earlier.

Nearly three -quarters of those who voted last year voted in person – with 35.2% in person before election day and 37.4% on election day.
