The new book reveals that the Biden team has prompted the early Trump debate strategy

Advisers superior to the president of the time Joe Biden would have urged to hold a debate against President Donald Trump as soon as possible in order to highlight Biden’s “leadership” and Trump’s “weakness”, according to a new book.
The book, “2024: How Trump took over the White House and the Democrats Lost America”, is scheduled for Tuesday and said that the Biden team rejected concerns about its age during the 2024 electoral cycle.
The book, written by Josh Dawsey of the Wall Street Journal, Tyler Pager of the New York Times and Isaac Arnsdorf of the Washington Post, said that the senior advisers of Biden wrote a memo advocating a first spring debate, followed by a second potential in early September after the work of work.

This strategy would allow Biden to take Trump before the early vote in the states of the battlefield, triggered the terms of the most advantageous debate for Biden and highlights Biden’s “leadership” unlike that of Trump, according to a memo on the issue.
“By holding the first debate in the spring, you will be able to reach the widest possible public, before we are deep in the summer months with conventions, Olympic Games and Family Holidays through priority,” wrote Biden’s main advisers in a Memo of April 15, 2024, published by Politico Playbook. “In addition, the more you are able to debate earlier, so that the American people can see you next to Trump and show the strength of your leadership, compared to Trump’s weakness and chaos.”

Despite this, the book reports that some Biden aids hesitated about an early debate, some even advocating that Biden should not debate Trump at all. More specifically, the book quotes a donor from Biden who pressed the White House in May 2024 to find a reason to withdraw Biden from the debates, after the donor said it was “alarmed” by Biden’s behavior during a fundraising from Chicago.
Meanwhile, Trump’s White House said that the debate had downgraded to Biden and shed light on Biden’s own weaknesses.
“The only highest point in the debate was the inability of Joe Biden (to) form a complete sentence,” said White House spokesman Taylor Rogers, in a Declaration on Monday at Fox News Digital. “American voters had a first -hand look at the weakness of Biden, his campaign in chaos, and what it looks like when the real leader is missing in the White House.”
“Unfortunately for the Democrats, no advisor or so-called” strategy “could save their incompetent candidates and their terrible policies of the historic victory of President Trump,” said Rogers.
A spokesperson for Biden did not immediately respond to a request for comments from Fox News Digital.

“2024” is one of the many books that were published in 2025 detailing the mental deterioration of Biden during their mandate and how Trump won the elections. Another example is the book “Original Sin: President Biden of the decline, his concealment and his disastrous choice to run again”, published on May 20.
