President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he explored the exemptions from deportation to illegal migrants working on farms or in the hotel industry that could be swept away in immigration and customs raids (ICE).
Trump said workers who spent years in the American workforce, especially in the agriculture and hotel industries, can be eligible for a new type of work permit that would allow them to stay in the country legally, pay taxes and continue working but without receiving citizenship.
The proposed plan, which has not yet been officially announced, would create a system by which farmers and other employers assume legal responsibility for long -standing undocumented workers.

Trump urges the “temporary pass” from the repression of immigration for key industries: “I cherish our farmers”
“We are going to take care of our farmers and our hotel workers, but we are working on it right now. And Ron (Desantis is) is going to be involved,” said Trump during a new immigration detention camp in the Florida Everglades which is surrounded by alligators “,” Alligator Alcatraz. “”
“We have a lot of cases where the ice would go on the farm, and these are guys who work there for 10 to 15 years, no problem.
“Farmers know them. This is called “responsibility of farmers” or “responsibility of the owner”, but they will be largely responsible for these people, and they know these people. They worked in farms for 15 years.… We have a great feeling for the farmer and for others in the same position.

“”They can be legally here. They can pay taxes and everything. They do not get citizenship, but they get other things. And farmers need them to do the work, “said Trump.” Without these people, you will not be able to direct your farm. “”
The future status of illegal migrants working in these sectors has been raised in recent weeks with Trump saying that farmers and hospital operators have raised concerns to lose precious members of their workforce if these illegal migrants were taken in its mass deportation operations.
Trump’s plan may not be good with his online immigration supporters, while the president seeks to find a happy medium between them and protect companies that depend on the work of long -term immigrants.
“I won the farmers by 92%, and I will not abandon my farmers,” said Trump during a round table after the tour. “We were strong with the voters, but we are also strong for farmers and others in the hotel industry.

“They will not have citizenship, but they will work. They will pay taxes,” said Trump. “We need to get our farmers the people they need, otherwise farmers will not be able to work on their land.”
Trump said that during a previous mass deportation effort, California farmers were left without enough workers to harvest their crops.
“You know, we tried once before, many years ago, when there was a very strong guy, and he has released everyone. And every farmer – almost all the farmers in the country – went bankrupt, and they had no one to work. And we don’t want to have this situation,” said Trump without quoting to whom he was referring.
He probably referred to the mass expulsion campaign of President Dwight Eisenhower in 1954 which saw the expulsion of more than a million migrants.
The president made similar comments on hotels and farms that potentially encountered problems following the federal immigration application on June 12.

“Our great farmers and residents of the hotel and leisure have declared that our very aggressive immigration policy has taken very good long -standing workers, these jobs being almost impossible to replace,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
“In many cases, the criminals authorized in our country by the very stupid politics of Biden Open Borders apply for these jobs. It is not good. We must protect our farmers, but get the criminals of the United States. The changes are coming!”
On June 19, the Tsar Tom Homan border reported that these operations would continue, but they are not a major objective.
