FBI to move the headquarters of the Hoover building to the Ronald Reagan building in DC

EXCLUSIVE: The director of the FBI, Kash Patel, closes the building of J. Edgar Hoover and moves its headquarters through Washington to the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, President Donald Trump praising the move, saying to Fox News Digital that the FBI “will finally have the type of construction they deserve”.

Fox News Digital has exclusively obtained a MEMO of Tuesday Patel sent to the FBI, by inventing the employees of relocation and stressing that it is “the most profitable means” to serve the American people, Fox News Digital learned.

“The team, the FBI headquarters will travel to the street to the Ronald Reagan building, and the Hoover building will be closed,” wrote Patel in the memo, exclusively obtained by Fox News Digital.

Trump told Fox News Digital that the Ronald Reagan building is “a wonderful building” and said the FBI was “a wonderful group of people”.

“The FBI will finally have the type of building they deserve,” said the president at Fox News Digital. “Congratulations to Kash Patel, Dan Bongino and all the great people of the FBI.”

In the FBI note, Patel said that the office is “the first world law for applying the law, and that our head office will reflect this fact”.

“After almost 20 years of constant unsubscription surrounding the question, as we finally did,” said Patel, adding that this decision “will be the most profitable way to best serve the American people while using the resources at our disposal most effectively.”

Patel said this decision will also simultaneously get “our excellent workforce, a modern, safe and superior HQ location that will allow us to build for the future and maintain the success of the mission while being enormous guards of dollars of taxpayers”.

Patel told the FBI that he worked “in close collaboration with the Congress and the GSA” to move “quickly”, but said that there were “a lot of mobile pieces”.

“We have to make sure that our safety and technology requirements are in place before HQ employees can start taking precedence, in phases,” wrote Patel. “Thank you in advance for your patience and for taking the course.”

Patel added: “Please join me to celebrate this historic stage for the FBI.”

Patel also thanked FBI officials and employees for “everything you do for the country”.

“And welcome to your new FBI and your new FBI seat,” wrote Patel.

In 2024, the General Services Administration said it would take more than a decade to build the newly built FBI headquarters.

“The FBI has long needed significant upgrades and after decades of debate, the president, the administration and the patel director offer – allowing the office to better serve the American people at a much lower cost for taxpayers than alternatives,” the source told Fox News Digital.

Patel said the Hoover building was “dangerous for our workforce”.

“If you are going to come and work at the first law enforcement agency in the world, we will give you a building that is proportionate to this, and it is not this place,” he said.
