The VOA may be Doa.
It is at least the interpretation of Lake Kari.
Lake ran without success for the governor of Arizona in 2022. She ran to the Senate in 2024 and lost.

“I think Putin would be very happy,” said Sherman about the Russian chief. “The bombs are powerful. The truth is more powerful.”
But it is not only the Democrats who are worried about static on government waves.

“We have abandoned journalists who have spent decades to build their credibility and their confidence with our audience,” said Kim. “Without reporting outside people to VOA and (Free Asia Radio), most North Korean civilians see only the United States as the villain.”
Kim feared that the United States could “win in the field of information”.
Lake recently retained 639 world media employees. She says her orders come from the summit.
Representative Gregory Meeks, DN.Y., the best democrat of the Foreign Affairs Committee, asked what type of “revision” she made to store VOA and other services.
“What we have examined is a decree on March 14 by the man who is in charge of the executive branch. The name HS is Donald Trump,” said Lake.

But the Persian service of the VOA used to broadcast 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Even if VOA has strengthened certain reports in the middle of the crisis, it was a work fraction that the organization was doing.
“From my understanding, Operation VOA has almost disappeared,” said Kim at the hearing.
“No. It’s not gone. We do what is legally required,” replied Lake. “The statutory minimum.”

This means that VOA and other services are just a ball. The congress will prepare draft spending law for the entire federal government over the next three months. What legislators decide to do with the financing of the VOA and the world media will announce the future of organizations. And if the microphones are permanently hooked.
