A Punk-Rap duo of the United Kingdom who shouted “Death to Tsadf” and “Libre Palestine” during their set at the Glastonbury Festival, is now condemned by political leaders and the festival for their actions.

Bob Vylan, based in London, describes itself on X as the “prettiest punk / rap / alt thing you will never meet”. With songs like “We Live Here”, “Dream Bigged”, “Makes violate me” and “Terms & Conditions”, the duo mixes the elements of rap and punk.

The duo played a high energy set at the Glastonbury Festival on Saturday, which finally turned into a political podium so that the singer of the group shouts anti-Israeli rhetoric.

While holding the microphone, singer Bobby Vylan shouted: “Death, death at the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces)”, several times before turning the microphone to the crowd to bring the participants to repeat the song. The FDI is the national army of Israel. Videos from the point of view of the crowd showed that several Palestinian flags are stirring while the interpreter and the participants shouted back and forth.

At one point, Vylan shouted “free, free and free Palestine”, and once again, he had in the crowd to repeat what he said.

Before returning to his set, however, Vylan put an end to singing and said: “Hell yes, from the river to the sea. Palestine must be, will be Inshallah, it will be free.”

Videos of songs spread over the internet as crazy, and now the British police in Somerset and Avon examines the videos to “determine if offenses may have been committed that would require a criminal investigation”.

The BBC reported that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned Bob Vylan for calling on the death of Israeli troops with the use of “appalling hate speech”.

The BBC, which broadcast the Live Festival, would have chosen to remove the entire duo from its Iplayer.

The BBC said that it has issued a warning on the screen of “a very strong and discriminatory language” during the live flow, reported the Associated Press.

The festival organizers have not taken the comments lightly and have since published an Instagram statement saying: “The Glastonbury Festival was created in 1970 as a place for people to meet and delight music, arts and the best of human effort.”

“As a festival, we oppose all forms of war and terrorism. We will always believe in – and to campaign actively for – hope, unity, peace and love,” said the declaration. “With nearly 4,000 performances in Glastonbury 2025, there will inevitably be artists and speakers appearing on our stages whose opinions we do not share, and the presence of an artist here should never be considered as a tacit approval of their opinions and beliefs.

“However, we are dismayed by the declarations made from the West Holts scene by Bob Vylan yesterday,” the statement continued. “Their songs have crossed a line a lot and we are urgently recalled all the people involved in the production of the festival that there is no room in Glastonbury for anti -Semitism, the speech of hatred or the incentive to violence.”

Another group, Knecap, also played on Saturday despite a terrorist charge for one of its members that Hezbollah supported Hezbollah. During the performance, the ball joint led a huge crowd in the songs of “free Palestine”.
