The prosecutors have received letters of termination signed by Bondi. According to the two points of sale, the letters did not provide any specific reason for the moves, citing only “Article II of the United States Constitution and the laws of the United States”. This sentence is often used in the federal employment law to indicate the constitutional authority of the executive power to appoint or withdraw staff.

Fox News Digital contacted the Ministry of Justice for confirmation and comments but did not immediately receive an answer.

President Trump has repeatedly referred to defendants on January 6 as political prisoners. On the first day of return to the White House in January 2025, he forgave or commissioned the sorrows of around 1,500 people convicted or incarcerated in connection with the Capitol attack.

The Ministry of Justice draws more than a dozen key officials from the team of former special lawyer Jack Smith

The last endings follow a broader reshuffle of the MJ staff.

In January, the ministry rejected more than a dozen officials who had worked on the investigations of the Jack Smith special council on Trump. Then, the Attorney General James Mchenry justified the moves by declaring that these people could not trust to “faithfully put the president’s agenda”.

During his time as an American interim lawyer in Washington, Ed Martin also downgraded several prosecutors in the Capitol seat section, including two lawyers who had helped obtain seditious conspiracy convictions against the chief of the oath guards Stewart Rhodes and the President of the proud boys Enrique Tarrio.

In February, the Attorney General Bondi ordered an examination of the Federal Pursuit of Donald Trump and launched a large internal audit aimed at “realizing the priorities of the Ministry of Justice” in accordance with the White House agenda. This effort included the creation of a “working group on armaments” responsible for examining “politicized justice” perceived in the federal police.

The group would also have examined the actions of the Manhattan district prosecutor, Alvin Bragg, and the New York Attorney General Letitia James, who worn civil and criminal affairs against Trump and his family.
