90,000 attend the Charlie Kirk memorial, one of the biggest tributes of this type

Thousands of people gathered on Sunday to pay tribute to the founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), Charlie Kirk, whose commemorative service attracted one of the greatest public participants for a private citizen.

The organization told Fox News Digital that around 90,000 people had attended the service, with around 70,000 people putting the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

The previous estimates provided by the law enforcement officials have placed the attendance number of around 200,000.

Pulled by political heavyweights, conservative media figures and religious leaders, the commemorative service ranks as one of the greatest public gatherings ever organized for a private.

The Kirk service was broadcast in all the main American television network, according to the director of white house communications, Steven Cheung.

And while the commemorative monuments take many forms, from intimate ceremonies to massive public rallies, the Kirk service underlined the unique intersection of politics, the media and the faith which defined its public life.

Similar collapses have already marked the death of cultural icons. The death of Elvis Presley in 1977, for example, attracted around 80,000 people to the streets of Memphis for its funeral procession, although only a few hundred were admitted inside.

In June 2016, around 14,000 people attended a service for the legendary Muhammad Ali heavyweight champion in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition, thousands of others looked practically via live flows.

In 1968, two massive services were organized for the leader in civil rights Martin Luther King Jr. in Atlanta, one in Ebenezer Baptist Church, then another at the Morehouse College. And around 150,000 people gathered to watch King’s funeral procession move between the two locations, with more inside each site.

Kirk was Murdered September 10 During an outdoor event at the University of Utah Valley. The rally was the first stop of the planned American return tour of TPUSA.

The charismatic Kirk, known for its signature debates on university campuses, was taking on open -ended issues of a crowd of thousands before a A single shot ended his life.
