197 Democrats vote against the bill on sanctions on illegal immigrants

Nearly 200 Democrats in the House have opposed legislation that will target criminal sanctions for illegal immigrants.

Bice’s bill would impose a five-year sentence in life prison for someone who illegally enters the United States and is later found guilty of a crime.

This would also increase the maximum prison sentence for illegal entry from two to five years, while increasing the maximum duration for someone who comes illegally, despite his invent entry from two to 10 years.

Among the Democrats who supported the bill, there is the moderate representative Laura Gillen, Dn.y., who described the legislation of “common sense” in a declaration to the media.

“Americans are massively agree that violent criminals without legal status have no place in our country and should be held responsible for the full extent of our country’s immigration laws,” said Gillen.

“The inaction of the previous administration on the border led to a full crisis that has drained taxpayers’ portfolios and made our communities less safe.”

The remaining 10 Democrats who voted for the bill are: representatives Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, Don Davis, DN.C., Jared Golden, D-Maine, Vicente Gonzalez, D-Texas, Adam Gray, D-Calif. Tom Suozzi, Dn.y., and Gabe Vasquez, DN.M.
